Day -9 (8/14/10)

Creed had a great day! Luckily, there’s nothing too major to report – just Day 2 of chemo.

He’s drinking enough fluids on his own that they were able to take him off fluids during the day. He will still have them at night to ensure that he stays hydrated. He has to use a mouth rinse 4 times a day to prevent his mouth from drying out. This is probably his least favorite part but he’s still cooperating!

Creed had lots of fun visitors today! And he loved it!
Thanks to:
Chase, Amanda and Robin
Amy, Charlie and Ingrid
Addie and Scott (who spent their date night with Creed and Steph)
And Casper’s mom and dad, Lisa and John (who took a hug back to Casper)

Amy and Ingrid brought a refrigerator for Creed’s room which will definitely get a lot of use! Thank you!

Creed played in the playroom twice, walked/ran ten laps, rode his tricycle, and played ball. He even yelled, “how do I stop this thing??!!” after he got going a bit too fast!

Creed has already captivated the hearts of all the nurses and doctors. His reputation precedes him and it’s hard for some the nurses to talk to Steph because they are so busy chatting with Creed. No doubt many people will be touched by his spirit throughout this journey.

Steph plans to attend church tomorrow (thank you Gigi) to fuel her own spirit.

“I will praise you, O Lord, with all my heart; I will tell of all your wonders.”
Psalm 9:1
