Day -4 (August 19, 2010)

I apologize for the delay in posts.  Thanks to Comcast, the IT Department has had some major internet issues, but we are back online.

Creed’s irradiation yesterday went really well.  The nurses and doctors can not believe how well he is doing and how he’s so full of energy!

He had lots of visitors this week and most of them enjoyed playing basketball on his indoor court.

The doctors stopped his anti-anxiety medication and did breathing treatments before the irradiation and both of those seem to have positively affected his overall experience.  He even ran through the tunnel from Egleston to Winship  for his irradiation.

He’s even learning how to draw his own blood!!!

He had music therapy on Wednesday and greatly impressed his teacher by singing “Glory to God”.  He’s eating well and loving the cards he’s received!

Today is his last irradiation treatment and then more chemo on Friday and Saturday.  Sunday he will have the day off in preparation for the transplant on Monday.

If you’d like to send cards, notes, treats, etc., you can send them to Creed at:
